Completed in 2013 Chalet Makini is an exciting new addition to Verbier’s stock of uber luxury properties. This stunning ski-in, ski-out chalet is located on the banks of a pond in the exclusive Hameau enclave. In the morning click into your skis and whoosh down a meandering trail that traverses the Hameau village and leads you directly to the Le Rouge lifts from where the main ski area can be accessed and when you’ve done for the day you can ski back to the chalet, snow permitting.
The attention to detail of the interior is quite impressive. The old honey toned wood beams, polished oak flooring and natural stone are a wonderful foil for the contemporary furnishings, antiques and luxurious furs, creating a sophisticated and welcoming living space. An interesting focal point is the cascading glass petals of the chandelier suspended from the double height ceiling of the dining room. The baronial table can comfortably seat twelve guests to enjoy a fine dining experience in front of flickering flames of the open fire in the grand stone fire place.
Chalet Makini can accommodate up to twelve guests in five impressive and individually designed bedrooms, all en-suite. The chalet has two living areas and it’s elevated position affords superb views of the surrounding mountains from its extensive balconies and terraces.
The chalet benefits from an impressive private spa facility located 100m from the main building and includes a delightful pool, hammam, sauna, jacuzzi and massage room as well as a well equipped gym for those with energy to spare. In addition to the spa facilities this building also houses a traditional fondue and raclette room where your chalet team will be happy to prepare a traditional Swiss dining experience for your enjoyment.
There is internal garage parking for four vehicles and a further three external parking places (additional parking spaces can be arranged on request).
“Refined Alpine-inspired interiors, a remarkable spa facility, and a privileged ski-in/ski-out location in Verbier’s exclusive Hameau development make Chalet Makini one of the most coveted addresses in town.”

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, wines, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
