Chalet Genepy was completed in time for the 2013 ski season and is located within the exclusive Le Petit Alaska development of private chalets in Val d’Isere. Genepy is a ten minute stroll from the centre of Val d'Isère and about a similar distance to the Bellevarde Express lift.
Chalet Genepy is a luxury ski chalet, set out over three floors and is a blend of alpine chalet style and contemporary design. The interiors are clad in honey toned timbers which are a wonderful foil for the modern furnishings which are stylish and tasteful. The chalet is extremely spacious with lots of natural light streaming in through the generously proportioned windows. On the first floor the open plan living area opens out onto a south facing balcony and you’re sure to want to spend time here gazing on awe at the splendour of the fabulous winter wonderland that is Val d’Isere. The lounge comes complete with a cosy fireplace, perfect for the evenings when you can toast your toes and chat with friends and family with a glass of your favourite tipple, bliss! There is a separate TV area, set apart from the living area which is great for guests who want to cosy up in front of the TV. An internal lift, servicing all three floors, will be a bonus for those whose legs are feeling the fatigue of a great day on the mountain.
Chalet Genepy can sleep up to twelve guests in five double bedrooms, plus one bunk room, which is ideal for children. All the rooms are comfortable and stylishly furnished and are en suite, with either a shower or a bath. The chalet boasts a fine wellness area with a fabulous large indoor swimming pool built into the rock face. The pool has it’s own sound system and is sure to be a hit with all ages. No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
