La Grange au Merle, a traditional 18th century farmhouse has been beautifully renovated with charm and elegance to preserve the history and magic of this amazing property. Stylish, warm and comfortable with beautiful views this is a perfect mountain retreat. The original charm and ambiance of the property has been retained, but now with all the home comforts you could wish for. From a steamy hot tub and sauna to roaring fires in the grate, this is the ideal place to ease your mind and relax your body.  

The heart of the chalet is on the first floor, with a south facing and open plan living space. Take in the amazing alpine views while you enjoy the cocktail bar, feature log burning fire or settle in the dining area to eat and drink with friends and family. The room is spacious and light with high vaulted ceilings exposing the original beams and architecture. Dine in style at the bespoke-crafted wooden dining table which sits in front of the French windows with its beautiful views across the valley to the Mont du Grange nature reserve.

La Grange et Merle features a cosy bar in the living area, where you can enjoy your canapés and sparkling aperitifs each evening, whilst telling tales of steep slopes and deep snow. You can also visit ‘Le Carnotzet’, the chalet’s beautiful wine cellar where there is space to relax, taste and savour a selection of excellent bottles.

A dedicated TV snug is home to a large television with a selection of DVDs, games, toys and craft supplies. On the mezzanine a library offers a peaceful space to select a book or magazine and access the internet.

There are five wonderfully comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and most with access to the southerly balcony or a garden terrace. For relaxation after a hard day on the slopes soak in the outdoor hot-tub, unwind in the sauna or indulge in a massage.

Along with spacious accommodation over four floors and garden, there is also a convenient covered garage for two cars located beside the property. The centre of Châtel is just a two minute drive or pleasant stroll away, with a tempting selection of aprés-ski bars, shops and restaurants.
