With walkie-talkies provided for your use on the mountain, you need never miss out on your favourite minutes of your favourite days in the Alps. Whether you have found a secret powder bowl or just want to stay out that little bit longer knowing that back in the chalet the beers are chilled, we can think of a million and one excuses to invite Roger on your trip.
I’ll drag myself out of this cloud of a bed when the pastries and pot of coffee have arrived. Have I left my goggles upstairs? How did we manage to lose James on such a wide piste? Have you got the round in at après yet? How about a five minute warning to get out of the hot tub before canapé o’clock? All perfectly valid reasons we feel when you want to eke out each precious minute away from your everyday. Just like you, we wish we could stay forever too, particularly when we are talking about Chalet Cateline.
Located in the pretty village of St Martin de Belleville, we knew you wanted to leave the day to day behind for a week. With an importance on slowing the pace of life and being rejuvenated by a week of magnificent Alpine vistas, gourmet catering and days of World-renowned skiing. Chalet Cateline is only a few minutes’ walk from the village centre and the pistes but be reassured that you can still enjoy the daily on demand chauffeur service instead. We understand that walking anywhere in ski boots, regardless of how near or far, isn’t a great start to any morning or end to another magical day.
We know you didn’t want a traditional chocolate box Alpine chalet so don’t be put off by first impressions please. Walk into the welcoming living area and be greeted by a contemporary Alpine style that infuses indulgent fabrics, soft bleached wooden tones and natural materials to exude indulgence. The large corner sofa is a particularly favourite spot of ours to sit back, enjoy delicious canapés with a glass of champagne all whilst being mesmerized by the crackle of the fire and the snow falling outside. It is certainly a five-course dinner with a view at Chalet Cateline, as you cast your gaze away from the bone china and down across to St Martin de Belleville and the small hamlet of Le Chatelard beyond. Otherwise no excuse is needed to sink into the outdoor hot tub on the terrace and to soak in the views that way. Particularly rejuvenating when the youngest members of the family are absorbed in Chalet Cateline’s snug, complete with beanbags, DVD player, Wii console, books and board games.
Others in your party are getting ready for the evening in the five luxurious en-suite bedrooms, tranquility resumes. It was a tough choice picking which room was to be your sanctuary for the week. From perfectly positioned king sized beds to capture those views to those less obvious but just as important details and features. These include two doors on the first floor bedroom, to maximize those hours in Bedfordshire when others may still be catching up on the day’s antics next door or direct access from your bedroom to the sun terrace.
With a champagne reception on your first evening, for now, let’s raise a glass to finding that perfect chalet.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful. On the chef's day off there are still a great selection of fruit, cereals, yoghurts and pastries but no cooked option.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is accompanied by carefully selected wines and is served on six nights of your stay.
The chalet provides a complimentary bar of beer, wines, sparkling wine, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
