One of Chamonix’s most private and striking addresses? Tick. Uninterrupted views of snow-capped jagged peaks from floor to ceiling windows? Tick. Have we packed the kids? Tick.
You can trust your friends in high places to have found you the perfect chalet that ticks off every requirement on the list. The list seems to get longer with every passing season. To ensure peace and harmony it is imperative that you take account of every family member’s hopes and wishes for their favourite week of the year.
Your chauffeur has effortlessly navigated you past the scores of transfer coaches and up through Chamonix to Le Lavancher, where you are relieved to see the hoardes disperse and tranquillity reign supreme. Combining the privacy with near doorstep skiing, welcome to Chalet Sask, your bolt hole idyll for your favourite week. You are still marvelling at your chauffeur’s driving skills, utterly impeccable despite the sheer volume of falling snow. The door to Chalet Sask is flung open and you will always remember your first sighting of the strikingly modern, crisp and contemporary interiors. Your inner ski bunny quivers at the mere sight of anything resembling a quintessential chocolate box chalet. You feared you might have overstated that to your friends in high places but relief now sweeps over you. You can’t wait to regale the other mum’s in the playground next week with what wow factors greeted you at Chalet Sask. You won’t even need to exaggerate this time around. That is quite an achievement.
It is an equal achievement to have built such a chalet with facilities to keep all generations of this year’s skiing tribe content. The silent nods of approval from your brother-in-law are praise indeed. This beautiful stand-alone chalet, comfortably sleeping six adults in three stylish double bedrooms and four children in their bunkroom refuge, is a glass expansed sanctuary of timber, opulence and indulgence. You have also achieved the perfect balance of staying in the quieter Le Lavancher area whilst only being a five minute walk to Wednesday night’s restaurant and a five minute drive to Flégère lift. You’ll even be skiing Grand Montets sooner than you can play pairs with the explosion of gloves strewn over your dedicated chauffeur driven vehicle. With the overnight snowfall, the better skiers in your party will even be able to ski home to Chalet Sask this afternoon.
With a jacuzzi complete with obligatory views and a cinema room, peace will be maintained long into the evening. Lose the kids in between the gigantic cushions of the cinema room, whilst you escape with a glass of Chenin Blanc to the outdoor hot tub. This is the perfect family hideaway. You even have the complete and utter peace of mind knowing that when word spreads and the extend family descend, you can maintain your sanctuary that is Chalet Sask. As just a few steps across the pristine snowy garden is neighbouring Chalet Alta. Able to sleep fourteen, that would certainly be a week to remember. For now, return to that glass and savour the tranquillity.
Whilst the children are having an early supper, complete with an extra place setting for teddy, you can be oblivious to the peas and tomato sauce going everywhere downstairs. You are in your robe and slippers, padding around with a glass of the finest champagne, cocooned within your top-floor master suite. With your very own fireplace and private viewing of some of Chalet Sask’s most breathtaking vistas, Chalet Sask knows that nothing is going to disturb your peace this week.
LBD on and it’ll soon be your time to shine at diner. You’ll show the striking architecture how it’s done.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? On the chef's day-off you will be served a continental breakfast of wonderful French bread and pastries. So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet to find afternoon tea laid out ready for you. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. You will enjoy carefully selected house wines with dinner which the chef has paired to his dishes although you can choose to upgrade the wines from the chalet's a la carte list. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on six nights, leaving you one night free to enjoy the local restaurants.
The chalet provides a stocked bar with a range of spirits, beer and soft drinks. Champagne is served with canapés on your arrival night.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
