Escape from the everyday hustle and bustle to a tranquil forest cabin where luxury is at the heart of your holiday. Recently renovated to the highest standards in a chic Scandinavian style, Chalet Castor is a beautiful property that's oozing with alpine charm.
Located in a desirable position in the Chamonix Valley, this property has a rare status as one of the few on offer in the region to offer true ski-in/ski-out in the Chamonix Valley. It is also accessible all year round. Come in from the winter's chill and warm up in the stunning wood-panelled living and dining room, which acts as the hub of the home. With its large bay windows and central fireplace, the lounge area is perfect for cosying up with a mug of hot cocoa and a book, while enjoying the stunning views of the Aiguille du Midi and the neighbouring Chamonix Aiguilles.
This chalet is a “Trappier” chalet, one of the highest quality builders in the valley, and is also one of the only chalets in the valley with a stone roof that is typically Italian in style. No expense has been spared in its restoration, right down to the smallest luxury details.
With 220 m² of living space on offer across four plush bedrooms sleeping up to 10 people, it's the perfect spacious home to retire to after a long day on the slopes. There's three double/twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a four-bed bunk room with en-suite bathroom that is perfect for children.
If the weather allows, in the morning, take your coffee out on the morning terrace and soak up the winter sun, before warming up in your own private steam room. If that wasn't enough, you'll also get a daily breakfast spread, afternoon tea, and a gourmet four-course dinner served by your own private chef every day, as well as a stocked bar full of premium spirits, beers and soft drinks so you can celebrate your holiday in style.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? On the chef's day-off you will be served a continental breakfast of wonderful French bread and pastries. So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet to find afternoon tea laid out ready for you. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. You will enjoy carefully selected house wines with dinner which the chef has paired to his dishes although you can choose to upgrade the wines from the chalet's a la carte list. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on six nights, leaving you one night free to enjoy the local restaurants.
The chalet provides a stocked bar with a range of spirits, beer and soft drinks. Champagne is served with canapés on your arrival night.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
