The name conjures up images of James Bond hurtling down the slopes being pursued by 100 bad guys, but still he prevails. The delicious Skyfall Penthouse is part of a recently completed chalet that was, believe it or not, the first building to be erected in the exclusive hamlet of St Christophe in the last 50 years.
You’ll love the fact that the property is ski-in ski-out. Skyfall Penthouse, is a true ski-in property, the unique design of the building means that it is literally set into the mountainside (just how Mr Bond is accustomed), you simply step inside, straight off the slope. Coupled with the fact that the delightful village of St Anton is a pleasurable short stroll away and you could say the apartment is in a perfect spot.
Skyfall penthouse is a truly outstanding property that fuses new and old-world design, embraces texture and pattern, and delights with its attention to detail, bespoke furnishings and finishing's throughout. Throw in a splash of rustic sensibility and the interiors come alive and are a joy to inhabit.
The entrance area introduces you to the apartment’s continuous theme of rustic charm offset with a contemporary flair. The walls are clad in a visually-stunning design of wooden bricks. To your left is the ski and boot room where century-old re-purposed wood panelling and striking art and furnishings make a statement. It’s just a very pleasurable space to be in. You’ll love being here.
Enter the living room through one of two doorways leading off the dining room. This simply gorgeous room draws guests in with its large open-fire place. The seating arrangements are sumptuously comfortable. The daylight pours into this space through the many windows, affording spectacular mountain views, reminding you of why you love being in the mountains. With the curtains drawn at night, the space is transformed into a sumptuous and cosy room in which to enjoy a glass of champagne and relive the day’s adventures, while you toast your toes at the open log fire. A cinema with a large screen and Apple technology, a feature you’re sure to enjoy, completes the lower floor
A staircase at the entrance area leads to the sleeping quarters upstairs as well as the Hamman and sauna. The bedrooms are all en suite and all have terrific views of the mountains. They are accessed by a corridor which forms an open quadrangle that looks down to the living area below. All the bedrooms are supremely comfortable.
Guests at Skyfall Penthouse are also offered free access to all the facilities at the Hospiz Hotel, which include a full spa and swimming pool as well as childcare. Should you wish to indulge in even more activity other than just the brilliant skiing, there’s a well equipped gym for a good work out. The Hospiz Hotel is less than a five-minute stroll away.

“Newly completed for the 2014/2015 winter season, this Tyrolean chalet in Austria’s quaint St. Christoph is the village’s first new build in 50 years. From the outside, the sprawling estate resembles a magnificent chalet, but within are four apartments ranging from two to five bedrooms, which can be rented separately or together. Out the front door, the St. Christophbahn cable car grants access to three ski resorts within the snow-laden Arlberg range.”
