That time of year is drawing near. That excited anticipation that only a snow-lover will appreciate is rising from your soul. It can’t be quelled for much longer. Chat of the incredible forecast that you kindly requested is growing. Fifty-one ski-deprived weeks have painfully slipped by but now you’re down to just a few more sleeps. You’re nearly there. Crux Penthouse is waiting for you in all her sensational glory.
You’ve done it. You step onto that runway like you own it. The ticket in your hand is a ticket to an Austrian paradise. Just a private transfer is all that is between you and St Christoph. You breeze into Crux Penthouse and just a short walkway is all that now remains between you and the striking vaulted beams that say welcome home. Contemporary features and authentic timbers ensure your first impression is one of the ultimate in luxury. Without realising, your gaze is finally drawn down from the ceiling and out through the expanse of glazing to the terrace and the Verwall valley beyond.
Daylight creeping to dusk won’t let you ski today but that sounds like the perfect excuse to acquaint yourself with this prestigious new penthouse that you’ll willingly call home for the week. Wander past the blissful snug and find yourself distracted by the stunning chandelier trying to steal the show from the vast wooden dining table below. If ever there were a place and a space to entertain, Crux Penthouse would volunteer itself first.
Tearing yourself away, the toughest choice of the evening after which canapé to elegantly devour first, is which elegant bedroom to pick. All with en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms, must you really pick one? It almost seems a shame that bedroom five, the fabulous bunk room, won’t be required this week.
Overwhelmed with such a decision, you are remarkably grateful for Phil and his notoriously attentive boot fitting service turning up. Marvellous. No need to be torn away from Crux Penthouse just yet. Canapés supplied to one hand, a glass of champagne in the other, ski boots being put onto your feet. You wish every Sunday evening could be like this. In fact, you wish everyday could be like this.
It isn’t every Monday morning that you awake to a breakfast created by a professional chef. Nor is it every Monday that you are just a one-minute walk to the St Christophbahn lift station. That also means that you can après in St Anton, feeling incredible self-assured that your chauffeur is awaiting to drive you the nine minutes home to your penthouse. With such a service available from 8.30am to 1am, your days really are planning out remarkably well.
Perhaps next year you’ll be able to finally persuade those non-skiing friends of the advantages of a week in Austria’s pristine mountains. If anywhere is going to convince them, Crux Penthouse will be the one. Start with gushing about the impressive interiors and your very own sauna and elaborate into the unlimited use of Alberg Hospiz Hotel’s full spa and pool facilities. Only a two-minute stroll away, St Christoph even provides ample opportunities for those who prefer pampering to pistes. You never know, Crux Penthouse might just be the turning point in which Phil will be fitting them with their very own ski boots one day.
For now, it’s time to believe that forecast and take advantage of the white stuff we all love.
Yes, we know you want to stay forever.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? Full breakfast is served every morning. So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on 6 nights.
The chalet provides beer, house wines, a drinks tray of 3 bottles of house spirits and mixers. Champagne is served with canapés on 6 nights of your stay.

The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children (on 6 nights).
