The first clue comes as you enter the tunnel, lit with torches, like the entrance to a secret underground lair, when you reach the end, you enter a lift, a few moments later, voila! the doors silently slide open to reveal a stunning interior and a warm welcome from your chalet staff with a celebratory champagne reception.
You’ll feel like you've just stepped into a film set, Zermatt Peak could be the location for a James Bond movie and for a week or two your are the main leads. Make no mistake, this place is unique and unlike anything you’ll find anywhere in the Alps, it’s Manhattan meets Paris, except for the unmistakable view of the Matterhorn through the huge glazed walls. No doubt about it, you’re in Zermatt but you’d never know if you had to guess from the interiors alone.
A chalet conceived for superstars
You are going to love being in this environment, guaranteed to make you feel that much taller, a little prouder, almost gleeful with excitement. Special interiors are good for the soul and Zermatt Peak is special. Arguably the finest premium luxury chalet to grace the glamorous resort of Zermatt. Discretion stops me from naming the famous French millionaire footballer who stayed here and declared it the best place he’d ever rented.
Custom made lasting memories
You’ll never forget you stayed here, the experience will live with you forever. The phrase “the wow factor” was coined for places like this. The stunning panoramic views across the whole of Zermatt and the surrounding mountain ranges as well as uninterrupted views of the iconic Matterhorn are worth the admission money alone but there are many more features that will surprise and delight you. I think “Q” must have had a team of technicians in here fitting the place out with wonderful gadgets. Zermatt Peak boasts a wellness area and gym that could lay claim to being the most impressive set up of its kind in the Alps. The custom made jacuzzi is the center piece and it really is something special. In or out, the glass panels directly ahead can be kept closed or slide open as the jacuzzi stretches from inside the wellness out onto the external terrace, making the most of that view again. The Peak is situated in a prominent position, high up, overlooking the village making you feel like the owner of all you survey.
State-of-the-art relaxation
In the fabulous Jacuzzi you can relax and unwind with a choice of a steam bath or a sauna complete with light fittings that give the impression of gazing at the stars. A masseuse will of course be on hand to ease the fatigue of muscles exerted by an exhilarating day on the slopes. Some peoples idea of recharging the batteries is a good session in the gym, so for the more active guest, a fully-equipped gym is available with the latest cardiovascular cross trainer, cycle, vibration plate and free weights. Or simply do nothing and just enjoy being and making the most of this fabulous accommodation. You half expect Miss Moneypenny to pop her head round the corner and ask, “is everything to your satisfaction, Mr Bond”?
The highest level of service is to be expected in a chalet of this calibre. You will experience standards surpassing that of the best 5* hotels with carefully selected, highly trained professional staff. A Chalet Concierge, Chalet Manager, Host/Hostess, Experienced Chef, Butler, Chauffeur and a Housekeeper will all be on hand to make sure your every need is attended too. You really won’t need to lift a finger, you’re totally free to kick back and relax.
The charming car free village of Zermatt is within easy reach and should you want to venture out to soak up the vibe, you will be in the heart of it, in no time at all. The ski lifts are close by so you won’t waste too much time getting to the pistes.
There are B&O cinema TV screens of varying sizes located in the lounge, library and all the bedrooms, which all have access to an extensive digital DVD library as well as Sky, internet and cable TV. Children and adult guests can make use of the latest games consoles and the music system with iPod and iPhone connections. Alternatively you can sit with friends and family around the roaring log fire in the open-fireplace, a must for the Alpine ski-ing experience. For those who wish to enjoy some quiet time, there is a separate library/study.
Your personal chef will be on hand to create and serve a mixture of international cuisine. You will be able to watch him cook in the open-plan kitchen using the finest ingredients whilst being served by your personal chalet staff. Breakfast, afternoon tea and full gourmet dinners are on offer to suit all tastes. Al-fresco dining and an external kitchen on the terrace is also available for those lovers of the outdoor air. If you stumble across Blofeld, sitting on the terrace, stroking his cat, ignore him, he’s harmless.

“Chalet Zermatt Peak is, unsurprisingly, in Zermatt, Switzerland. Resembling a Bond hideaway, the huge property is decked out with walnut floors, Murano crystal chandeliers, multiple saunas and high-end technology”
“Just a few parallel turns away from the centre of Zermatt lies this chalet, which you should stuff full with 10 of your naughtiest pals and then spend a week lording it up. There's a lounge three times the size of your Putney pad, filled with fur throws, squishy corner sofas, and a telescope if you fancy nosing on the neighbours. The master suite takes up an ENTIRE floor and has its own hot tub.”
“Chalet Zermatt Peak is a luxury five star chalet situated in the heart of Zermatt, ideal for those who want to relax in exquisite comfort and enjoy excellent facilities after a long day on the slopes. In this extravagant and private lodge, you can enjoy wonderful hospitality and hearty comforts in the world’s most exclusive skiing resort.”
“In a resort crammed full of amazing properties The Peak arguably tops the lot, in more ways than one. Standing proud, like a sentinel overlooking the resort, seemingly dropped, job lot, direct from Beverly Hills, this stunner is a million miles away from the archetypal Swiss ski chalet. Superlatives are redundant here, it’s a billionaire’s pad with no expense spared to achieve the desired effect. Huge walls of glass allow the outside in to form a symbiotic relationship with the winter wonderland beyond, taking full advantage of its wonderful location and making it arguably the best luxury ski chalet in Zermatt.”
“Situated right in the heart of the Alps, Switzerland, there are simply not enough words to describe the beauty & glamour of Chalet Zermatt Peak which boasts an impressive 5* rating in style stakes. An iconic stay where no expense is spared.”
“With stunning interiors, exceptional service, and postcard-perfect views of Zermatt and the towering Matterhorn, the 5-star plus Chalet Zermatt Peak is the dream come true of any tourist, be it a skier, a nature lover, an adventure seeker, a rock star, or a design enthusiast. Featuring luxurious finishes and natural materials of the highest quality, the striking interior design surpasses any expectations, setting this 5-room mountain property in a league of its own”

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.

You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is accompanied by carefully selected house wines and is served on six nights of your stay.
