Modern, glamorous and young (at heart) couple, seeks stylish ski pad as kindred spirit, for wining and dining, skiing, and good times with friends! #GSOH #FTA #MustBeSkiInSkiOut! Your perfect match: High 7 Penthouse, Zermatt, the Swiss Alps.
You’ve searched high and low for ‘the one’ and in the end it was up high after all, occupying the top two floors of a stunning property in the Winklematten hills above Zermatt. The area known as the Beverley Hills of Zermatt is the perfect fit for you and your fashionable friends; it’s the only true ski-in ski-out area in resort, boasts the best views of the Matterhorn and yet the boutiques and bars are easily reachable for the occasional shopping spree or night on the town.
The stylish apartment is dripping with seductive features and furnishings; from design-piece baths with a view in two of the bedrooms to the dining chairs draped with furs and the 360-degree open fire. Take a seat on the comfortable and contemporary sofa as the fire crackles and you take your first taste of Champagne, proposing a toast to a week of laughter, good food and better wine.
Being foodies, you’ll love the slick black breakfast bar where you can prop yourself on a bar stool, glass of pinot in hand and watch the chef at work. You will be treated to a series of delicious canapés through the week, followed by three courses of gourmet cuisine inspired by local, seasonal ingredients and your own personal favourites – the chef calls you before your stay to make sure the menus are just to your liking. You have his full attention.
In the mornings you will awake in your plush bedroom to glorious views over the snowy mountains, steaming mugs of tea and coffee served to you in bed by your attentive chalet host. You can take these out onto the balcony if you like for a closer inspection of the slopes and the Matterhorn, which looms large, before sitting down to a magnificent breakfast to set you up for a big day’s skiing.
Zermatt is a true playground for ski addicts; a modern lift system sees that you never wait long to ascend the next mind-blowing slope and the descents are long and exhilarating. Skiing across to Cervinia in Italy is an added bonus, with fabulous snow and even better coffee and pasta. Oh, and the wine’s not bad either of course. You can revel in glorious long days on the slopes, with lunch all planned and booked for you, tables reserved at the best mountain restaurants and suggestions for the best après bars to finish at to round the day off.
After the après you’ll be looking to indulge in some spa time to rejuvenate your tired ski legs ready for a night out in town, and the Penthouse does not let you down. Adjacent to the master en-suite, but with shared access too you find a large round relaxation bath and delightful bio-sauna, the room atmospheric with cascading stone walls and bright LED lighting illuminating the therapeutic hot waters in the bath. Sink into the tub, glass of champagne in hand and look out across the mountains through the big picture window.
There are touches of bling throughout the Penthouse, the bedrooms have textured walls in plush plum, or the more Alpine mimicked goat’s hide, and the light fittings are modern artworks in themselves. The clever lighting creates romance in the early evenings while you recline before the fire, and ensures you wake gently in the mornings. Bathroom lighting is flattering, but bright enough for applying a touch of make up before heading to the VIP area reserved for you at Gees for cocktails and dancing to the live band.
This is a truly luxurious ski vacation, all the small details taken care of for you leaving you free to relax, enjoy, and create special memories in this special resort.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on six nights of your stay and is accompanied by carefully selected house wines.
The chalet provides beer, wines, spirits and mixers. Canapés and aperitifs are served on six nights of your stay.
