Kilimanjaro rises above the plains of Zermatt as it surveys its position from the most prestigious new development in the Alps. Being in one of the most enviable parts of town, with the Sunnegga funicular only minutes away, Kilimanjaro knows that everyone is talking about it. Everyone wants to say they have made it to the peak of luxury.
There are several trekking routes to reach base camp of 7 Heavens. However, at SkiBoutique, we don’t want you to be weary before reaching your end goal. You’ve arrived into Zermatt by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and an electric taxi is waiting for you. You are only a few minutes away from seeing your first glimpse of the icon that is Kilimanjaro.
Rising in stand-alone splendor from the surrounding plains, Kilimanjaro has been waiting in anticipation for the arrival of the annual winter migration. The migration of snow lovers from across the globe, all on the hunt for fresh pastures of pure snow and powder fields.
This dormant volcano is ready to erupt for winter 2016/2017. Kilimanjaro will be ready to show off its status as one of the most ultra luxurious chalets in Zermatt. Your first steps onto this peak will be through the shared entrance hall. This is no ordinary entrance hall. Unwind from your day with a drink at the bar or in the grand cigar lounge. Alternatively for those who want to prepare their legs for the days to come, there is a state of the art gym with all the equipment an intrepid adventurer could need.
Abandon your outdoor gear in your private ski room and your exclusive elevator is waiting to whisk you up through the chalet. You didn’t think we’d make you take one of the arduous trekking routes did you?
Once inside, Kilimanjaro’s compelling beauty is clear to see. Set over four floors, authentic timbers and woods have been combined with ultra modern design. This peak has been brought into the modern century with a full entertainment system wired around the chalet complete with private cinema. Perfect for slumping into after your triumphs on the mountain.
For those intrepid explorers who might have pushed the boundaries of the Matterhorn Ski Paradise, Kilimanjaro will offer you a continued paradise on your return home. Unwind in your own private spa complete with massage room, hammam, sauna and the pièce de résistance, a large indoor hot tub.
From your elevated South-Westerly summit of luxury, your gaze will be caught by the other peak vying for your attention. The Matterhorn. Floor to ceiling picture windows only enhance the magnificent views of the majestic Swiss peak. From the sumptuous furniture in the living room, you can start planning your next adventure…or perhaps just admire its beauty with a glass of perfectly chilled champagne in hand. You’ve earned it.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, wines, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
