You are the type of parents who know how to lead by example. That being one of the good old-fashioned moto of ensuring that working hard is nicely balanced out by played equally as hard in the most exclusive of resorts. However, nights at The Farm Club have long been swapped for the ultimate in snowmen making competitions and all the joy that brings..
You may be swapping a 6am return home for a 6am wake up these days but for us that means the must haves of a private chef, housekeeping team, chauffeur and outdoor hot tub are even more richly deserved. You know when you have found the perfect match and Chalet Pierre Avoi knows it too.
It’s not easy to strike a balance between stylish interiors and child-friendly surroundings but Chalet Pierre Avoi meets this challenge with a deft touch. Beauty and elegance surrounds you in your secluded patch of premium real estate in the Plan-Praz area of Verbier. Fortunately when teddy and crayons come on holiday too, it is reassuring to know that this is a sophisticated décor but one where nothing feels too delicate, nothing too breakable. At Chalet Pierre Avoi adults can experience true luxury whilst the children have the space to be children. Let them escape beyond the south-west facing decking and out onto the snowy meadow beyond. A haven for snow-angels, snowball fights and snowman making if ever there was one. All under the watchful supervision of your glass of something sparkling and that outdoor hot tub. Surely this is what the perfect family holiday is made from?
Let’s warm up and head back inside. The large stone fireplace is roaring and the toughest decision of the evening will be to pick your spot for canapés in amongst the ample seating. With friends who you’ve not seen since last season living just up the road, you are sure there is space for a couple more at dinner tonight. After all, you want to show Petiti off to everyone. You don’t mean to brag but hey, you’ve worked hard all year to make this one of the best weeks there can be.
Chalet Pierre Avoi is an attractive traditionally styled Alpine chalet from the outside but with the wealth of luxe details and features inside that you would expect to find from a chalet recommend by your friends in high places. When you’re tired from all that outdoor exertion, climbing in and out of the hot tub included, this chalet boasts of a sauna and treatment room for some much needed R&R and a second spacious sitting room, perfect for the explosion of paraphernalia that comes with the youngest members of the family. Complete with large screen and games consoles, this is the ideal haven for children. All the while, allowing the grown ups to sink into the vast squashy sofas whilst admiring the breath-taking double height living area, complete with obligatory fireplace and floor to ceiling windows. Jaw dropping views were never going to be optional at Chalet Pierre Avoi, as the Combins and Mont Blanc Massif invite themselves in.
With eight lavish bedrooms, one of which being the perfect bunk hideaway for the youngest rabble, there should be no squabbling over who gets which indulgent space. If the soundest of sleeps designed bedrooms, then they certainly started at Chalet Pierre Avoi first.
It is also a rather magical feeling that you have a week of leaving the tedium of stray socks and dippy egg whinges to a team of unbelievably talented staff. They are there to ensure that every detail of your favourite week is seamlessly taken care of. From the kids’ favourite breakfast, to your ski boots heated and ready to go and the chauffeur on stand-by to whisk you down to the shops when a spot of retail therapy calls your name.
Usually returning to life as a commuter on the first Monday morning back to reality comes as a rude awakening. However, from your perfect chalet, we know that you will be recharged, reinvigorated and ready for all that life throws at you. If ever that feeling starts to fade, we know just the place awaiting your next visit.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is accompanied by selected house wines and is served on five evenings of your stay.
The chalet provides a selection of beers, wines, champagne, spirits and mixers. The house champagnes are Perrier Jouet Grand Brut and G.H.Mumm Cordon Rouge. There is a wine list available if you would like to upgrade your wine or champagne (payable in-resort).
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
