Nestled in fir and pine forest, Hidden Dragon is your break from the daily grind of life. Let your senses be rejuvenated and inner calm be restored, all whilst ensuring you indulge in your number one winter obsession.
Located at 1,500metres, along a private road and set within its own exclusive grounds, you will find the essential flow of cosmic Qi and Hidden Dragon. Your luxury catered chalet for the week. Complete with panoramic views over the Rhone Valley and the true luxury of ski-in and ski-out access, you might like to keep this as our secret. Between us though, we think you deserve to know more about such a sacred place.
You always return from your annual ski jolly feeling happy and full of the vigours of life. However, how often can you say that your mind, body and spirit have been truly nurtured and refreshed? Hidden Dragon is not your everyday wood clad mountain retreat. The 700m2 of luxurious living space have been created with the ancient feng shui principles in mind and a hint of Asia, all balanced with a healthy dose of Swiss charm. Exquisite antique pieces sit harmoniously alongside both the contemporary design of the chalet and the use of organic materials. Everything was designed to come together to evoke your senses.
Returning home after skiing will never be the same again. Nothing will be able to compare to Hidden Dragon’s Gents’ Club style ski room. Equipped with vintage leather club chairs, heated boot racks, ski-servicing equipment and your very own bar. The experience of après has reached new heights.
A stay at Hidden Dragon is also likely to see your good luck, happiness and prosperity reach new heights as well. Leave the ski boots and empty glass behind and make your way to your bespoke ensuite bedroom to slip out of today’s thermals. Whether you lay your ski socks and head in Green Dragon, Brown Cow, White Tiger, Red Phoenix, Snow Lion or Black Turtle for your week, you can be sure that your celestial animal will endow you with protection, support, blessings, wisdom and strength.
It sounds just like what your legs need after their first day back in skis. Fortunately, when a chalet is designed to celebrate all of the best things in life, an exceptional spa comes guaranteed. If you can tear yourself away from your master suite’s spectacular views, make your way down to the garden level. Here you will find complete and utter peace on Earth. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the hammam, sauna, hot tub and rain shower. As the site of Hidden Dragon was prepared with Shinto rituals to cleanse the earth and appease the mountain spirits, it seems only natural that the spa will honour the same for you.
After you have experienced the talents of the in-house masseuse, it won’t be long until your senses will be nourished again. As the evening draws in, let your private chef display some of the finest talent and flare in the Alps. If you have had enough fondue to last you a lifetime, then let the finest classical French cooking techniques be influenced by the East. At Hidden Dragon, emphasis is strongly on the Japanese philosophy of letting great food speak for itself. Only the finest ingredients will make their way past the feng shui of the meandering river and the protection of the mountains behind.
No luxury ski holiday is complete without an equally luxurious wine cellar. We are pleased to say that Hidden Dragon’s state of the art glass fronted cellar boasts a magnificent collection of fine wines. They are all there for your enjoyment rather than just being tantalising showpieces. Make your way to the elegant living room and relax in front of the bespoke copper fireplace with a fine vintage from one of the great chateaux of Bordeaux or Burgundy. This week is all about letting go. You will be delighted to hear that you can release the guilt from that second top up by joining the owner’s belief of wine’s healthful and nutritive properties. You might just need to remind your head of that when you are up for meditation and yoga at sunrise tomorrow morning.
When you are staying somewhere as fabulous as Hidden Dragon, staying in is the new going out. Every nurturing minute spent in the chalet is a chance to absorb the positive energy that flows around your surroundings. After supper find your way to one of the most authentic cinema experiences in the mountains. Equipped with full soundproofing, a 3.5metre screen and sofas so comfy it is quite likely your yoga instructor will discover you there tomorrow morning.
You have never looked nor felt so reinvigorated after your favourite week of the year.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on 6 nights of your stay.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, wines, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
