Nestled into the scenic mountainous landscape, Chalet 1936 showcases breath-taking views across the Verbier plateau, offering up the finest standards in ski holiday accommodation. Splashes of colour and pop art meet chic, cosy chalet style across gorgeous interiors. Set across five floors, and with seven individually decorated bedrooms, the chalet sleeps up to 14 of your friends and family in style, with your own private elevator serving the first four of them (after all, who wants to walk up the stairs after a long day on the slopes!).
Each bedroom is boastfully decorated with antique wooden beams and panelling, the finest oak wood flooring and natural stone fittings. Bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms with roll-top baths, rainfall showers, luxury toiletries and large natural stone sinks. In the master suite, recharge your batteries with a long soak in your copper bathtub and a cosy night's sleep, before awakening in the morning to step on your own private balcony to take in the views across the mountains and beyond. If you're travelling with little ones, the chalet also offers a children's room with two sets of delightful hand-crafted bunks, sleeping up to four kids.
Enter this epic chalet on the second floor, where you're greeted with the home's main entertainment area. Seating up to 14 people, the elegant dining area is a place where the whole family can sit together, laugh, relax and dine on some of the world's finest cuisine prepared by your private chef, who you can observe at work in the well-equipped and extensive kitchen. In the living room, put your feet up and relax by the open fire as you pop open a bottle of wine and recall memories of your day, or retire to the cinema room and watch a movie with your loved ones.
On the lower floors of the chalet, you'll find the luxurious spa and an 8x3m private pool, complete with swim jets. Revitalise in the glass Hammam before taking a refreshing dip in the pool, or step outside to enjoy your own outdoor hot tub as the snow falls around you. Perfection !

“Each fresh season normally sees the opening of an audacious new chalet with headline-grabbing features - think a vintage motorbike hung as an installation, or a collection of Warhols. But this year, Verbier's Chalet 1936 has made a virtue of refined restraint. From the unbroken mountain views enjoyed form the bedrooms and yoga terrace to the little stream that runs through the garden and around the hot tub (with water so pure you can drink it), everything here is intended to induce a feeling of calm. Inside that sense of Zen is nutured by staff who take care of every detail and the use of soothing natural features - anitque timber beams, oak floors and natural stone sinks - throughout. Every conceivable amenity is included too. There's a cinema, gym, glass encased hammam and mountain-facing pool.”

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, wines, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children.
