This chalet is the last word in opulence and exotic luxury. Carved wood, chandeliers, exotic fabrics and furnishings lift this fabulous chalet out of the ordinary and elevate it to a league of it’s own. Situated in the heart of Val d’Isere, yet set back from the main road, the chalet affords privacy, sumptuous luxury and easy access to the centre of this beautiful high altitude ski resort.
Marco Polo wasn’t averse to a little luxury and the finer things in life, after all he did much to introduce Europeans to the delights of Central Asia’s and China’s exotic tastes and treasures. He left a lasting legacy and inspired others to follow in his footsteps. One wonders, were he still around today, what he would make of his namesake, Chalet Marco Polo, SkiBoutiqueʼs guess is that he would be very impressed indeed.
Chalet Marco Polo is certainly spacious, with over 750sqm of space, Marco Polo comfortably accommodates 12 adults and 2 children. The living area is expansive with a large open plan living/dining area set around a central fire place. A wonderful cocktail bar is a feature not often found in a regular ski chalet, perfect for pre-dinner Perrier-Jouet, the house champagne.
Large doors open out onto a huge balcony where you will find outdoor heated seating, a BBQ and magnificent panoramic views of the La Face piste and the surrounding mountains. The six beautifully appointed bedrooms are all en-suite with all the fixtures and fittings that you would expect to find in this calibre of accomodation.
Wellness is at the heart of Marco Polo as the whole of the first floor is dedicated to your relaxation and well being. The spacious pool with jet stream sits adjacent the hot tub and is flooded with natural light from floor to ceiling windows. The sauna and relaxation area, complete with entertainment system allows you to completely unwind and enjoy the ultimate luxury ski chalet experience.

“Marco Polo is smoking hot. Socking great views, chandeliers the size of polar bears, an outdoor kitchen, a wine cellar and a bar with lasers and smoke machines - it has it all.”
“Chalet Marco Polo is located right in the heart of Val d’Isere. The spectacular and spacious swimming pool which sits next to the hot tub and hammam, is covered in gold leaf and has its own jet stream. It is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. The backdrop either side of the feature window, was designed by Christian Lacroix and features gold leaf tiles which depict the goddess Boudicca. There is also a drop down screen where you can watch a movie with perfect surround sound, while relaxing in the pool. The adjoining relaxation area with bar and fire place comes complete with lasers, smoke machines and an entertainment system provides everything you might need for a party.”
Chosen by The Telegraph as an ‘Alpine chalet with amazing spa’ – “A swimming pool in a chalet is one thing, but a gold-leafed swimming pool is where decadence really lies. On top of that, this six-bed chalet boasts a gym and massage rooms.”
“The uber-luxurious Chalet Marco Polo in Val d’Isere not only has flowing house Perrier-Jouet champagne but there is also a bar area that can be transformed into a nightclub.”

Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on 6 nights giving you chance to explore and experience local restaurants.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, carefully selected chateau bottled wines, spirits and mixers. The chalet can offer an a la carte wine list if you would like to upgrade. Perrier Jouet Champagne is available at all times.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
