Gazing down from above she watches over the village below protectively. Looking for all the world a traditional Savoyard chalet, long resting in this idyllic spot, blending into the mountainside behind her and carved from local rock, stone pillars in the traditional Tarentaise style. She protects her secret well, but Chalet Arosa is a recent addition to the Val D’Isère skyline.
Lucky guests will benefit from all the creature comforts of a newly built ski chalet, but sacrifice none of the traditional Alpine charm they seek in the process. As you climb up the few bends above the village to the beautiful hamlet of Le Cret the views are dramatic, the anticipation for the week is surely building with each turn.
Arriving to be greeted by the smiling, friendly faces of your chalet team you feel instantly at home and relaxed. Guided inside and furnished with a glass of chilled champagne you take in the views from the panoramic windows in the sitting room. This space is furnished in warm grey sofas, the room light and airy courtesy of its double height ceiling, but warm too from the charming corner fireplace, logs crackling in the grate.
The look and feel of this special chalet is understated luxury, vintage wood and white washed walls for the traditional ski chalet feel, but every modern comfort considered. A glorious hot tub sits proudly upon the balcony; what could be better than a long soak here after an exhilarating day on the slopes? Lie back, eyes closed with the powerful jets soothing your aching ski muscles and breath in the crisp mountain air, filled with the scent of surrounding pine trees. A glass of something chilled completes the picture, and this special moment will stay with you long after this year’s holiday has come to an end.
The stylish and under-stated décor continues through the bedrooms, three of which have access to their own private balcony, perfect for enjoying that first cup of coffee each morning as you gradually awaken ready for another glorious day’s skiing. Colour schemes are simple with crisp white bedding warmed by sumptuous soft furnishings and floor sweeping curtains in greys, warm reds and browns.
The real joy here is quality time with friends and family; those that you love. The professional chalet team strive to give you as much of this as possible, by taking care of every detail and leaving you to relax, laugh, ski, eat and revel in all that Val D’Isère has to offer. Your chalet chauffeur is on hand to take you to the slopes in comfort – your ski boots toasty warm from their overnight resting place on the boot warmers. For something different you can take the children ice skating at a magical outdoor rink – or even ice karting, and your chauffeur will once more be on hand.
Back at the chalet your accomplished chef is cooking up a storm in the kitchen – you can sneak a peek from the dining table, but do go closer if you like, he’s happy to share a few tricks of the trade. Evening meals can be en famille or children can have a special early supper leaving you to romantic, grown-up dinners. You’ve total freedom to choose and make the most of your special vacation in the Alps. Chef will create delightful canapés and memorable meals, all designed specially for you and your specific tastes.
Aside from the world-class skiing on offer in the Espace Killy there are also fabulous mountain restaurants and legendry après spots including the original and infamous Folie Douce. Make the most of the week with tables booked for you by your chalet manager with the best views, and treat yourself to indulgent massages in the comfort of Chalet Arosa’s own private massage room.
A vacation here is above all else a chance to indulge yourself, and to take home with you a week of magical memories to cherish for a life time – or at least until you come back next year.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? On the chef's day-off a continental breakfast is provided. So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef.
