Chalet la Bergerie is a delightfully cosy and traditional alpine property, located on the site of an old "Bergerie" or shepherd's hut, dating back to the 17th century. The sense of history and heritage is prevalent throughout and the chalet holds a timeless elegance that has been renovated using many of the original features, blending traditional wood and stone with modern luxury facilities. Decorated with love and attention, there is a prevailing sense of calm and tranquility, helped by its location in a private enclave above Val d'Isere with beautiful views of the Manchet Valley.
Chalet La Bergerie boasts five en suite twin or king-size bedrooms, one of which has a small additional single interconnecting bedroom, ideal for a child or nanny and a sixth bedroom with its own private bathroom. Every room has an individual sense of style and character which makes them all an equally attractive retreat after an active day on the slopes.
The vaulted ceiling of the sitting room and mezzanine dining room gives a sense of space without losing the warmth of the room created by the open log fire, and complimented by the rich colours and textures of the carefully selected furnishings. La Bergerie sports additional features such as the luxury of a private massage room where the trained physiotherapists can work on those weary limbs, and the state of the art cinema room complete with a Nintendo Wii. The chalet also boasts 2 beautiful outdoor hot-tubs for ultimate relaxation and luxury pampering.
Chalet La Bergerie also boasts service levels of the highest standard and catering to impress even the harshest of food critic. Each night guests enjoy a five course culinary experience from the chalet’s talented private chef, served in the vaulted dining room.

If you want the best of the best in the Alps.... then go to Chardon Mountain Lodges! I have now stayed in all of the chalets... everyone are superb! The staff, the facilities.. the food - WOW! If you want the 'Best of the Best' then you can only come here! I've been going to the Alps for 30 years and nowhere comes close in comparison!!
I have just returned from the Bergerie chalet, part of the Chardon Group where I have experienced some of the finest hospitality I think it would be possible to enjoy in a chalet environment. Whilst we were there at the end of season the superb chalet chauffeur service made it possible for the ardent skiers in our party to easily locate excellent locations while of course it would be doorstep access in the main skiing months.
However while the quality of skiing is unquestionable in this location, the luxurious standard of accommodation, food, fine wines and friendly efficient service is unsurpassed. Once off the ski slope and enjoying a champagne in the hot tub, your only concern is which wine you will have with your 5 star gourmet meal after you have consumed your canapés and aperitifs in the sumptuous sitting room. Miracles are worked by Mike the chef in his neat kitchen and your experience is enhanced by the flawless service of Juliet, the chalet manageress, and her two charming assistants Gael and Jodie. If you want to put a real edge into your skiing this is the place to be!

No need to rush out of bed - tea or coffer will be brought to your room. Then to breakfast - a healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on 6 nights giving you one night to explore and experience the wonderful local restaurants.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, carefully selected house wines, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
