What are you five favourite things? Those moments or items that spring to mind so instantly that you don’t even need to query them. Your friends in high places would repeat skiing five times but that would just be silly. How about we expand that to mountains, skiing, location, friends and luxury?
We think that that pretty much sums up our new favourite bolthole in Les Gets. The beautiful No. 5. We hasten to say this and maybe we should do so in hushed tones for fear of offense. However, your friends will have to be fairly picky to find something they don’t fall in love with at this luxurious new apartment within our collection.
Let’s start with location. Just an hour and a quarter from Geneva airport, Les Gets welcomes, with open traditional arms, those who dread the two hour plus transfers. We understand, we really do. It’s your favourite week of the year for a reason and you just want to get there. The anticipation has been slowly driving you and your spreadsheets and meetings with the CEO mad. When you touch down on the tarmac, you want to know that you have arrived. As your friends in high places, we like to go one step further. Not content with such a short transfer, we want to ensure that even in resort location is emphasized with a capital L. Stamp on those ski boots and know that in just three minutes, a pole won’t even have been dropped and you’ll be on the pistes or Mont Chery lift. Alternatively you may prefer the Chavannes chairlift, all depending on which mountain is that day’s destiny.
There is no better feeling than returning to luxury after a great day of being reunited with the slopes. Complete with a mixed wine and beer case that Henry so thoughtful pre-ordered. Even though No. 5 is self-catered, you would never know it. You have to love it when upon arrival home, a member of the group has taken on the role of chalet host. The aroma of fresh coffee welcomes you in and treats from the boulangerie are laid out on the vast inviting table. Cathryn might not be a skier but she certainly knows how to make a ravenous one ecstatic. We won’t tell her that lunch was an idyllic hazy three hour event on a sundrenched terrace. As if your favourite days in Les Gets couldn’t get any easier, you can’t even work up an appetite dragging your skis upstairs. With a street level ski locker and lift access to No. 5’s lower level, these are the days to be spoilt.
Friends are a vital component of any week if it is going to stand the chance of standing out as your favourite amongst the other fifty-one. With four stylish bedrooms complete with luxuriant bathrooms and a sheepskin adorned balcony, No. 5 knows how to please. Your SkiBoutique PA has even ensured that a Bamford Spa massage is arranged to ensure avoidance of mid-week leg fatigue.
We knew it wouldn’t take long for you to be captivated with this stunning apartment’s luxurious freedom.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful. Breakfast is served on 6 mornings of your stay and on the staff day off, fresh bread and buttery croissants will be delivered to your chalet.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food. Afternoon tea will be laid out for you to enjoy every day.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event - a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef with an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. You will be served a melt in your mouth dinner that wouldn't look out of place in the best restaurants. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and during the week you will be served three gourmet dinner and three relaxed dining evenings from the chalet's 'Taste Menu'.
There is a Ruinart Champagne reception served on the evening of your choice during your stay and Belstar Prosecco is served throughout the week. The chalet offer a selection of at least 5 house wines which are available throughout your stay. In addition there is a complimentary spirits tray with four selected spirits and there is a signature beer from Alepine.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
