Ferme de la Corderie is an exquisitely renovated luxury alpine farmhouse with breath-taking views over the French ski resort of Les Gets and the ski slopes of the Portes du Soleil. This is definitely one of the best chalets in the Alps.
The famous French architect, Le Corbusier said “Space and light. Those are the things that men need just as much as they need bread or a place to sleep.” If he had been lucky enough to stay in La Ferme de la Corderie, he would have found an abundance of both.
This beautifully renovated farmhouse is enormous and is a fantastic base for a holiday with family or friends. Everything from the front door to the generously proportioned entrance hall is welcoming and evidence of the care and attention that has gone into making this one of the most lovely chalets in the Alps.The floor to ceiling window have fantastic views of the resort below and ski slopes opposite.
Although there is a defined master bedroom, there will be no issues in room allocation in this chalet as all the rooms are beautifully designed with gorgeous bathrooms. Deciding which room to take will definitely be tricky – should you take the master with its wonderful views and enormous bathroom or the leather ‘sleigh’ bed with its freestanding copper bath tub or the tartan double with its large walk-in shower? Decisions, decisions - but what a lovely problem to have.
Enjoy drinks on the wonderful heated balcony snug with its amazing view of the Perrières Express chairlift and the runs into the village. Or relax on the enormous sofas in front of the roaring fire while the children watch a film in the TV room on the mezzanine before you indulge in a beautifully prepared meal at the long wooden dining table at the far end of the generously proportioned open plan living/dining room.
The outside space is just as great with a large south facing terrace, hot tub and a sledging area for the children. The chalet is just a few minutes drive from the centre of the resort but has a feeling of peace and calm that will leave you truly refreshed and relaxed.

Ferme de la Corderie is a renovated farmhouse/ luxury ski chalet in Les Gets that sleeps 12 - 16 people. Inside, a 60ft-long socialising space incorporates a living area with sofas, armchairs, a roaring log fire, a dining space with an intimate eating area and a snug. Guests wishing to ski are taken by chauffeured car to the nearest ski lift, two minutes' drive away and those who want to relax at home can visit the private treatment room for facial or massage.
There is also a heated outdoor terrace with steamer chairs, a hot tub and Sonos sound system.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare The Breakfast Club signature menu with a selection of hot and continental options every morning - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. In addition for those with a more 'savoury tooth' there is a platter of charcuterie and freshly baked bread. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that‘s just me - perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth four course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is accompanied by carefully paired wines. During the week you will be served two gourmet dinners, two relaxed dining evenings, "Chef's Table" on one night with a 6 course tasting menu and specially paired wines and on one evening enjoy "Kaiseki" which is an exquisite 6 course Japanese inspired feast.
The chalet provides an open bar of artisan beers, house wines, premium spirits including gin, vodka and single malts and mixers.They offer a 'Gin bar' with speciality tonics and a 'signature cocktail' is served each evening and Belstar Prosecco and the house Champagne is served throughout the week. There is a Ruinart Champagne reception served on the evening of your choice during your stay. The chalet offer a selection of at least 10 house wines which are available throughout your stay.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
