It sounds rather fabulous when you can say that you are off to stay in your own private château. Particularly when such a private château is located alongside the Bellecote Piste in Courchevel 1850. You know, your friends know and even the dog knows, that this is the most sought after address in all of Les Trois Vallées.
With your entourage of royal officials and support staff, Le Petit Chateau’s seven ensuite bedrooms provide the perfect indulgent escape for everyone. You have already advised Le Petit Château’s butler that you can be found on the first floor’s grand master suite. Perhaps he wouldn’t mind shuffling a cup of Earl Grey in each morning. Oh and in the evenings you will happily oblige to being handed a glass of champagne in your private lounge.
Your chef has excelled himself at breakfast. The imagination is running wild at the culinary delights that will be a feast for all the senses tonight. However, for now, it is that time of day when your royal entourage come into a world of their own. Whilst you are rummaging through your Tom Ford washbag for a little more factor 50, goggle tans are so last season darling, calm is being restored in Le Petit Chateau’s ski room.
Sally, the Queen of Gloves, has done her usual sterling effort of sorting the infinite mound of black Moncler gloves into an organised pile. Helen, the Queen of Snacks, will always be the one to ensure that every ski jacket pocket has something decadent stuffed into it for the mid morning munchies. Roger and David are both the Hipflask Kings. You can rely on them for a little boost when Tom proposes the black run delights of Suisses or Chanrossa.
If after lunch you fancy swapping the changing vistas for the changing rooms of Courchevel’s discerning shopping streets, your chauffeur will be waiting for you. He will ensure that your bags are discretely left in your dressing room, whilst you make your way down to Le Petit Château’s state of the art wellness centre. After their invigorating day on the slopes, you can be sure the others will soon be joining you. You don’t want them making jibes at your choice of swimming over skiing, so for now, enjoy the pool to yourself. It would be rude not too. There is plenty of time for drifting away in the jacuzzi and the hammam when the others return. Perhaps you should treat the girls and ask the concierge service to have an in house masseuse come and visit tomorrow.
Fast forward a couple of hours and the sound of rapturous applause resonates from the ultimate in retreats – the private bar and lounge area. You know the men of the Royal household are happily being entertained by the bartender and chalet staff. Across the other expanse of guest rooms in all their Nussbaum wood glory, peace is restored as the smell of luxurious toiletries wafts throughout the chalet.
It’ll soon be time to swap the bathrobe and slippers for that little number you saw on the catwalk a few months ago. You have been saving it for that special occasion and I am sure that Le Petit Château will stand back and let you steal the show tonight.
With the chink of aperitif glasses and canapé platters and the delicate migration of heels to the second floor, cue the show. You feel a million dollars as you sweep into the grandeur of the vaulted living room. Black beams softly illuminated, the grand fireplace crackling and the dinning table decadently laid.
Evenings like these only magnify themselves after exceptional days. You can be sure of both at Le Petit Château.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is available on every night of your stay.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, wines, spirits and mixers.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
Please note: Food and drink is not included in the weekly rental price and is payable in resort.
