Prepare to be blown away. Chalet Ormello is the epitome of high end luxury, in every respect. In 2009, Christophe Tollemer, the architect of renown, completely refurbished the interior of this former barn, spending north of €1,000,000 in the process. The only thing that remains of the original structure is the very generous space that such a building provides. Make no mistake, Chalet Ormello is a million miles away from a humble barn and is now an alpine chalet of extreme distinction.
Just a short walk from the Bellecote piste and the heart of the village, Ormello offers you fabulous luxury. In a resort crammed with high end chalets of some distinction, Ormello holds it’s own and then some. This wonderful accommodation comfortably sleeps 15 guests, in seven double bedrooms and two master bedrooms.
To say Ormello is spacious is something of an understatement, the interior are vast without losing sight of the need for a welcoming and cosy ambience. The expansive lounge area with the open log fire is sure to detain you for much of your time here. It’s a wonderful place to gather in the evenings as you await your gourmet experience prepared by your talented chef. There are breathtaking views from the balconies too. You might like to wander out from time to time, maybe with a glass of champagne, to take in the stunning scenery and remind yourself why you love being in the mountains.
Children were very much in mind when Christophe drew up his plans. He provided them with their own dedicated room which is furnished with bright, colourful armchairs and a multitude of toys. The kids will also love the delightful indoor pool and will more than likely splash away for hours on end.
There’s more, The chalet also has its own cinema with plush seating that affords a true cinematic atmosphere and experience. Factor in the outdoor hot tub with terrific views and you may well never want to leave the confines of this amazing chalet. Non skiers will certainly be in their element here. A well equipped gym, a steam room and Cellcosmet treatment room add to your well being.
Chalet Ormello is the annex to the beautiful Hotel Les Airelles. The facilities of the hotel (the ice-rink, as well as its courtesy vehicles, merry-go-round, horse and carriage, Cellcosmet spa, concierge, games room and entertainments) are all available to you.
The service levels easily match the splendour of the chalet as a dedicated team of 12 staff comprising: bellboy, head waiter and team, chef and staff, housekeeper and cleaners are there to run the chalet to your exact requirements. Pierre Gagnaire, who presides over the kitchens in the adjacent Hotel Les Airelles offers his culinary talents to you and your friends and family by creating your own specific menu.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
