You've arrived. Picture yourself as you wind through the cobbled streets of Zermatt and head up towards it's most exclusive district. As your quaint electric taxi buzzes it's way up through this magical car free town and climbs towards Petit Village, the view seems to get better with every bend in the road. There she is, like a beacon in the night, named 'The Angel' for good reason, this chalet seems to have a divine presence.
Standing proud, like the castle on the hill over-looking the entire town, except castles have small windows, Les Anges has enormous floor to ceiling windows so the jaw dropping view can take centre stage. This is one of the Alps most impressive ski chalets and deserves it's spot in our top 20 chalets collection. When you relax in the lounge drinking in the view of the village below and the iconic Matterhorn beyond, you'll likely feel on top of the world.
Holidays are all about those magical moments that embed memories on the brain that can stand the test of time and last forever. Memories that all the family can share for years to come, your kids will tell their kids. Les Anges provides those moments many times over. You will remember the time when you all dined al fresco on the huge terrace, on that night when the sky was clear of city light pollution and busting with stars. You will talk about the heated outdoor plunge pool, and the time when you all soaked the night away, drinking that beautiful bottle of Shiraz, the views were amazing. You will recall having that special feeling that it doesn't get much better than this.
Holidays are all about you, that much needed down time where you can turn off the laptop, put the phone on silent… and relax. Les Anges was designed fit for purpose. The chalets unobtrusive staff will ensure you need not lift a finger and the choice of sauna, steam room, or massage in the chalets state-of-the-art wellness centre will ensure you check out feeling like a new person, although the chances are you'll want to stay another week.
Les Anges will be your home from home, a place to kick back and totally relax in. A chalet that enhances your feeling of happiness. You already know that the place you hang your hat is important to the success of your vacation, Les Anges confirms that belief and more than plays it's part. Children are more than welcome - this is not some show home with priceless and delicate ornaments peppered around the place. Les Anges is a real home, a place to be lived in. The seven large ensuite bedrooms mean that you can invite your cousins and there will be no fighting over who gets the best rooms.
Positioned far enough away from the crowds to feel the serenity of the mountains yet never too far from the action, you can walk down to the main lift station within 5 minutes, or zip down in an electro taxi in no time at all. The village centre isn't much further either and is a place that comes alive in the winter months, a place to eat, drink, shop and for some, to simply be seen.
Les Anges will keep all the family happy, the kids will love the space to roam, 750 square meters of it, and the TV come cinema room will no doubt be transformed into their very own lair, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the peace. Any none skiers (god forbid) amongst the group will love the chalets long list of luxury features and proximity to great shopping boutiques and cafes.
Food lovers will be in heaven as the chalets seriously talented chef brings meal after meal of mouth watering, michelin standard food to your table. Alas, if you would prefer fish and chips and a night curled up on the sofa watching a good movie then so be it - for this is your castle and you are the King, all your wishes will be granted.

“Possibly the best views of the Matterhorn are to be had from the bathtub of the master bedroom in Chalet les Anges (we kid you not). This contemporary chalet, located in the exclusive ‘Petit Village’ enclave above the heart of Zermatt, is 700m² of unadulterated, cutting-edge, design beauty. Floor to ceiling windows give unbroken views of the Matterhorn from the vast sitting room and bedrooms and the Zen-like wellness area comes complete with a rose petal-strewn pond.”
“The interiors of Les Anges are a symphony in wood. Beautiful honey toned timbers are utilised, forest like, throughout the accommodation to create a wonderful, calming ambience, while the spacious open plan living area, on split levels, further enhances the feeling of wellbeing. The grand piano takes centre stage and anyone who can knock out a tune or two will marvel at the acoustics. The terraces and balconies offer fabulous vantage points to take in the spectacular scenery that surrounds this beautiful chalet. Les Anges is wonderfully understated.”
“Designed by the renowned architect Magali de Tscharner, the rich and luxurious Chalet Les Anges sets a new standard for comfort and style in Zermatt. The large panoramic windows throughout the building allow tremendous views of the surrounding mountains, while the abundance of wood and natural materials that adorn the classy interiors create a feeling of warmth and serenity. Additionally, the chalet boasts one of the finest spa areas in the region and an outdoor plunge pool.”

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served on six nights, leaving you one night free to explore the fabulous local restaurants.
The chalet provides an open bar of beer, carefully selected house wines, spirits and mixers. The house champagne is Perrier Jouet.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
