Recently completed in 2009, Chalet Nyumba, is a beautifully contemporary luxury chalet designed with exquisite taste and attention to detail. This stunning chalet nestles in an ultra exclusive enclave in the heights of Verbier, nearby the Sonalon restaurant. The tranquil location and commanding position affords this property with some of the most spectacular views in Verbier, if not the Alps.
Perfectly framed mountains vistas in the double height floor to ceiling windows of the living room or the plate glass walls of the luxury spa. Chalet Nyumba is a beautiful property that has been stylishly conceived and is a perfect blend of a traditional chalet charm with a contemporary aesthetic. Worn leather sofas, distressed antique wood finishes and beautiful alpine detailing featuring throughout.
This vast and spacious chalet is set out over 4 floors and can sleep up to 14 people (10 adults and 4 to 6 children). The Chalet is split into two distinct structures, a main chalet and a guest Mazot. Nyumba also boasts an extensive private spa, finished throughout in Italian marble with views over the valley and mountains beyond. Truly stunning, the spa's lavish facilities include an 'L' shaped pool, hammam (steam room), indoor and exterior jacuzzi, sauna and a cold water plunge pool. A massage room is located adjacent to the spa where one of the in-house team of masseurs can ease your aches and pains away from a long day on the piste.
The main chalet has an expansive open plan living and dining area with proud double height windows, the view from which will take your breath away. The dining table comfortably sits 12 and is open to the kitchen area. Stairs lead to a mezzanine office and up to the stunning master bedroom which features a beautiful en-suite marble bathroom and traditional roaring log fire.
The ground floor houses 3 bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms plus a charming and cosy children's bunk room sleeping 4 children, making this a perfect retreat for families. There is also a large children's play room on the lower ground floor. The lower ground floor has a further twin bedroom with separate shower room, and houses a fully equipped cinema room, perfect for kids and big kids! This floor gives access to the garage and wine cave with its fine selection of French and Italian wines.
If you choose to stay at Chalet Nyumba you will also be supporting a fantastic cause - a portion of the revenues from the chalet rental are paid to the charity 'Give a Future Foundation' a UK registered charity that is committed to transforming the lives of orphans and vulnerable children, through education in Ethiopia.

“Chalet Nyumba is split into 2 parts, the main chalet and a guest Mazot so perfect for two families. The Mazot is set out as a separate family suite with a small kitchenette and dining area, double bedroom on the first floor and large sleeping area in the eves. The main chalet comes with a children’s playroom and fantastic cinema room ideal for entertaining children while parents enjoy a glass of champagne in the living room. Also has a swimming pool.”
“Perched high above the chic mountain resort of Verbier, Chalet Nyumba offers ravishing mountain vistas and unsurpassed services. Its extraordinary design is undoubtedly Alpine inspired, but filled with details that speak of the sounds and colours of vibrant Africa.”

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is accompanied by selected house wines and is served on six evenings of your stay.
The chalet provides a selection of beers, wines, champagne, spirits and mixers. The house champagnes are Perrier Jouet Grand Brut and G.H.Mumm Cordon Rouge. There is a wine list available if you would like to upgrade your wine or champagne (payable in-resort).
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
