If paradise is a perfect state and a place of timeless harmony, look no further than the exquisitely decorated four-bedroom penthouse apartment that is Grand Paradis 50. Surely the epitome of your favourite days in Val D’Isere?
Paradise isn’t to be shared with everyone and at Grand Paradis 50, we only ask you and your husband to pick six of your nearest and dearest to share such a memorable week with you. This is certainly a space that nurtures your soul. It is what you have been craving and with light flooding into the spectacular sitting room and dining area, this is a place like no other. One that instantly soothes your soul the second you sink into the marshmallow softness that is the pale pink sofa. With a roaring fire and views captured by every inch of angled glass, we believe there isn’t much more you could desire. Although we appreciate that for some, making it as far as the decadent cream Chesterfield is just too much to ask. Fortunately in paradise such conundrums have already been thought out in the shape of a scattering of delightful round button seats on the floor. After all, this is your paradise, wherever you find it.
Personally, a particularly decadent way to start yet another favourite day in Val D’Isere is breakfast bathed by chandelier light. Throw down the piste map, ask for another fresh cup of coffee and scatter croissant crumbs everywhere in the process. After all, why else have such a enormous dining table that enables you to survey your kingdom and the snowfall beyond.
It is certainly a morning for reasonably first lifts and at only a 10 metre jaunt away, there should be no complaints from Christopher at carrying your skis. After all, there is nothing glamorous about scattering ski poles everywhere. From the Solaise Express, you have over 300kms of beautifully groomed pistes at your Fendi gloved fingertips. However, with fresh snowfall overnight, it is a day to let the men in your party acquaint themselves with some of Val D’Isere’s finest off piste. For you, a lazy mountain lunch on a sundrenched terrace is the order of the day before the weary legs are carried back home via Grand Paradis' elevator. With this morning’s delivery of your favourite white wine now perfectly chilled, your private balcony is where another unhurried afternoon will be seen out.
Although available on a self-catered basis, you have far more important things to be doing each afternoon than acquainting yourself with Grand Paradis 50’s kitchen. Now, you fully appreciate that it is supremely more luxurious and well equipped than your country Cotswold kitchen. However, with rumour that your husband has lined up a bottle of champagne at Cocorico’s for you, these are your favourite afternoons of the year for a reason. That one magical little word that is après.
We understand that the word apartment may conjure up thoughts of claustrophobia but as your friends in high places, we promised you paradise. If we wouldn’t stay there ourselves then neither will you. We know that you deserve only the best and the moment we laid eyes on the vast bedrooms and palatial en-suites, we knew that Grand Paradis 50 had your name written all over it. With the appointment of a private chef, housekeeping three times a week and a mid stay linen change, exclusivity is entirely yours.
We heard rumour that you might even be considering a return to your winter wonderland utopia later on this season. We will ensure the champagne is on ice.
