You just know when you have found the one. The one that takes your breath away and gets your heart racing. This season proximity to the piste, the most exclusive of locations and high-end Alpine luxury are just the start of what makes your perfect chalet be truly noticed and stand out balconies and chimneys above the other snow laden chocolate box crowd.
There is something magical about arriving at dusk as you wind your way up to the exclusive Fermes de Val D’Isere estate. Your chauffeur guides you past many a beautiful chalet, softly illuminated against the falling snow. However, you know that your one and only is waiting for you just around the corner. Any chalet that can offer you a ten minute walk to the heart of Val D’Isere or the Bellevarde piste is most definitely a keeper. Especially if they know how to sweep your off your feet, quite literally. We all know that there is nothing gainly about walking in ski boots, so let Chalet Le Lievre Blanc’s chauffeur have you swept from ski room to piste in a matter of minutes. These really are your favourite days for a reason.
Managing to combine traditional Alpine charm with that contemporary twist we know has you mesmerized, Chalet Le Lievre Blanc awaits you in all its four bedroom glory. Boldy painted bedrooms still manage to hold onto traditional charm, whilst the all important balconies have you awe-struck, particularly your master double bedroom with its double aspect views all the way to La Daille. Standing proudly against the night sky, this is a chalet that knows it has already won your affections. With space opulently appointed and combined with beautifully enticing furnishings, you know this is going to be a long-term affinity.
With ski boots hastily dropped off on the ground floor, you can’t help but rush up to the second floor. After all, it is the main living and dining room that originally stole your heart. Those windows that invite the mountain peaks in, the plump sofas are just the sort where you really hope to sink into forever and the flickering fire just calls for cosy evenings. However, for now the snow has settled and you and a slate of delicate canapés have a rendezvous with Chalet Le Lievre Blanc’s terrace.
You can’t help but let Chalet Le Lievre Blanc’s outdoor hot tub catch your eye. Tomorrow’s arduous après will be to give the seal of approval to not only that but the hammam as well. Those will be the ultimate hours for soothing away the aches of the first day back on skis for a while. Complete with a deep tissue massage from the in house physiotherapist, you were, after all, promised to be swept off of your ski boot feet and fully looked after for your favourite week. Even the children are given the VIP treatment with mugs of chocolate chaud, complete with bobbing marshmallows, brought up to them in the mezzanine above the kitchen.
You wanted to find the one. That one chalet where memories will be made, starting from the day that you bought the smallest salopettes suitable for a toddler one day destined for the 300km of pistes on offer in Val D’Isere’s vast snowy domain. You want to be that family that the dedicated team of hosts, chefs and chauffeurs welcome back year in year out as old friends, with each family member having an individual bedroom they call theirs. By then your suitcases will be able to take themselves up to your master bedroom’s walk in wardrobe and the bar stool in the dining area will know exactly which pre-dinner aperitif will complete your husband’s evening.
Chalet Le Lievre Blanc will always be the centre of your winter affections. You just wish the sun didn’t have to dip below the hazy mountaintops and days like these could last forever.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on.There is a daily continental breakfast and your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. Three evening meals can be pre-booked and your Scott Dunn chef will prepare Champagne and canapés followed by a tailored three course gourmet meal with paired wines. You will be free to sample local restaurants on the other evenings.
