When you think of the ultimate in luxury, where that word could not be more appropriately used, your thoughts might lead you to Courchevel 1850 or Val D’Isere perhaps. How about we whisper a little word beginning with M to you… Morzine.
Landing into our collection with as much subtly as a chalet built without constraint can muster, Chalet Joux Plane has more than raised the bar. Whether that be the proverbial bar with 600m2 of true unadulterated luxury or the actual mezzanine bar with a balcony that commands outstanding views across the Portes du Soleil. Either way, let us introduce you to your World of indoor-outdoor swimming pools, spaces dissected by vast panes of glass and a wealth of lavish details and features. This is not just another luxury chalet you see, it is your perfect luxury chalet. Let us indulge you…
First of all, you may want us to start with and then put aside the practicalities before we revel in the frivolity of freestanding baths, an art gallery and floating seats. Those usual practicalities would be your friends in high places introducing you to the six en-suite bedrooms, complete with a family suite for your sister-in-law and her husband and their rabble of four sharing the bunk room. Then there are the five remaining ensuites, either superkings or with the possibility of being split into twins. Normally this would be the mundane every day completed before you and thirteen of your nearest and dearest would squeal with utter glee as you explore the rest of Chalet Joux Plane. However, these are the kind of bedrooms with such vast beds that if you lay there contemplating breakfast long enough, you may well sink into the vast cloud and conveniently be left behind at the end of the week. They are also just the kind of indulgent spaces where being recharged and reinvigorated will be given a completely new meaning.
Once we have enticed you out of your private sanctuary, it is time to revel in the continued experience that is Chalet Joux Plane. You knew there was something exclusively yours as your chauffeur pulled up in the garage and a 15m underground tunnel beckoned. You were welcomed into glass atriums beaming light around even on a cold snowy day, where children charged towards the cinema room and playroom and your attention was grabbed by the 23m swimming pool. However, whilst Henry’s triathlete prowess may continue to be honed in Chalet Joux Plane’s private gym, you know just where you and a glass of champagne can be found. Queue the hedonistic playground that is one of the ultimate wellness suites. You never thought that choosing between a deep tissue massage in the blissful treatment room or sinking into the sauna or hammam would be so tricky. Just a few minutes’ drive from the heart of Morzine, you will feel that you and Chalet Joux Plane have been transported a million miles away from snowy civilization and your exclusive alpine woodland setting.
After all, we did promise that this would be your luxurious break away from the everyday.

No need to rush out of bed - breakfast is laid on. A healthy array of fresh fruit juices, a selection of warming teas and coffee - yoghurts, crispy cereals, juicy fruit and a mouth-watering display of delicious fresh breads & delicate pastries. Your chef will also prepare The Breakfast Club signature menu with a selection of hot and continental options every morning - how do you like your eggs? So much choice that you might miss the first ski lift if you're not careful. Breakfast is served every day although with a slightly restricted menu on the chef's day off.
Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. In addition for those with a more 'savoury tooth' there is a platter of charcuterie and freshly baked bread. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that‘s just me - perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition. Enjoy the delicious canapés and amuse-bouche freshly prepared by your star in the kitchen.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth four course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is accompanied by carefully paired wines. During the week you will be served two gourmet dinners, one dinner chosen from our Internation Taste menu, "Chef's Table" on one night with a 6 course tasting menu and specially paired wines and on one evening enjoy "Kaiseki" which is an exquisite 6 course Japanese inspired feast. Dinner is served on 5 evenings of your stay.
The chalet provides an open bar of artisan beers, house wines, premium spirits including gin, vodka and single malts and mixers. They offer a 'Gin bar' with speciality tonics and a 'signature cocktail' is served each evening and Belstar Prosecco and the house Champagne is served throughout the week. There is a Champagne reception served on the evening of your choice during your stay. The chalet offer a selection of at least 10 house wines which are available throughout your stay.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children (on 5 evenings). You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
