We often talk about chalets being ‘hidden gems’ but in Chalet d’Hadrien you have the real thing. This beautiful chalet is luxury spoken in a soft whisper – there is nothing showy or glitzy about this, one of the first high-end chalets to have been built in Méribel, the ultimate chalet resort.
If you're looking for peace and tranquility then you'll love this property. Set back from the road on the exclusive Route de la Renarde and mostly shaded by hedges & fences you barely notice the chalet when passing. But step through the front door and you are in for a wonderful surprise.
Firstly there is the privileged sense of space, this chalet is large – there is space both in the well-appointed rooms, the spacious layout and the large terraces and garden. The next thing you notice is the calm – this is a quiet location although it is only a hop and a skip to the slopes and an easy walk into the centre of the resort. The location of Chalet d'Hadrien enjoys the best of both worlds, and so will you.
The calm extends to the feel of the chalet interior, which is beautifully decorated in a wonderful palette of muted neutral shades and makes the most of the natural light and the beautiful views of the Méribel Valley. The wood inside the chalet is a lovely soft shade and the furnishings in velvet, fur and linen are just calling you to sit back and take it easy – this place is relaxed and Zen and you can experience the greatest luxury of all, time to unwind and enjoy the moment.
Your favourite feature? the wonderful spa suite on the group floor – swimming pool with swim jet, sauna, hammam and shower with floor to ceiling doors facing southwest towards the Tougnète. Perfect for a swim before going out on the slopes and the ideal place to come back and relax – there is even a fire place in the spa area so that in or out of the water you are warm and cosy. Ahh - that's why you take holidays.
The large open plan sitting and dining room is perfect for large groups with different seating areas and two fireplaces so you can be as sociable or as solitary as you’d like. There is even a separate play area for younger children so the “nearly-finished-Lego-castle “can be preserved for completion the next day. Watch a film in the spacious home cinema with full range of channels but just accept that it is so comfortable that you may never see the end of the film, this is a family chalet and the kids will be at home and in heaven too.
Chalet d'Hadrien works brilliantly for two or three families or for a larger group – there are 7 bedrooms including a family suite, children’s room and a master suite, all of which are decorated in the same immaculate style with spacious bathrooms and lovely views.
Be cared for by the perfect chalet team – a professional couple who have worked for the chalet owners for some years and now the resort and chalet like the back of their well traveled hands. They will prepare delicious meals, organise pampering treatments or massages to sooth any aching muscles and ferry you to and from the slopes or for shopping trips into town in the chalet’s private vehicle. Their job is to make sure you leave wishing for the time you can return. All you have to do is turn up to enjoy a fantastic holiday in one of Méribel’s truly hidden gems.

Come back after a wonderful day on the mountain to the warmth and comfort of your chalet. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa in front of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of tea and a generous serving of cake – this is how all afternoons should be. Your chef will prepare a fresh from the oven, sweet treat for your return, so whether your preference is for a hearty sticky Apple and Ginger cake or a delicate Mille-feuille aux framboise is more your thing, there will be something tempting waiting for you. Personally I don’t think you can beat a slice of crispy baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of apricot jam or nutella - but maybe that ‘s just me - the perfect comfort food.
When staying in a catered chalet every night feels like a special occasion, and why shouldn't it, you're on an amazing holiday and it's so good to be alive. You’re dressed and ready for a glass of something chilled with friends and family, ready to regale them with tales of your mountain adventures that may get a little exaggerated for dramatic effect with each rendition.
Take a seat at your own private table - it's time for the main event – a delicious feast, masterfully crafted by your talented chef. With an emphasis on using hand-selected, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt in your mouth three course dinner that wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dinner is complimented by a tangy platter of divine local cheeses. Menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and your chef will be happy to prepare everything from a simple supper to fine dining delights. Dinner is served between 7 -9pm.
The chalet can provide beer & a selection of house wines. They also offer a wine list for you to purchase wines of your choice if you prefer.
The chalet is happy to cater for specific dietary requirements, and will serve an earlier high tea for children. You can talk to your SkiBoutique PA about any specific requests from dietary requirements such as gluten free diets to birthday cakes and favourite dishes. We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted and delivered in resort.
Please note: Food & wine costs are payable in resort.
