Originally a coaching station, the chalet was built in 1808 and is now a luxury residence nested in the heart of the Saanenland, in the the famed alpine resort of Gstaad. This historic estate, a true masterpiece, is a testament to the region’s rich history. It seamlessly blends the traditional rustic charm with contemporary comfort and ample entertainment space.

In 2020 the chalet and the adjoining barn, which was built in 1862, were lovingly restored. No easy task as both the building's exterior and interiors are listed by the Swiss National Historical Monuments Authority.  The result is a beautiful, stylish chalet where understated charm and luxury are bywords. The chalet masterfully blends traditional charm with modern luxury amenities. It is a perfect fusion of the original woodwork and contemporary elegance, offering guests a quintessential alpine experience.

Chalet 1808 is in Saanenmoser, one of the nine villages in the greater Gstaad area. It enjoys beautiful unobstructed alpine views and the manicured ski slopes of the region are almost in front of your door.

There is plenty of space for up to 10 guests with six lovely, en-suite bedrooms. This has to be one of the loveliest chalets in our portfolio with beautiful, calm, stylish rooms where relaxation is the order of the day.
