The Perfect Indulgence

The Prestige Residence is on the 2nd floor with the Six Senses Spa easily accessible. Its large terrace has your private hot tub inviting après ski with bubbles as the stars appear in the darkening sky. The style is reassuringly contemporary classic with designer twists that harmonise and add flair. Open plan living, dining and kitchen is spacious but retains a sense of intimacy. All five bedrooms have en-suites and enough heavy fabrics and snuggly faux fur to feel like cosy sanctuaries without being small. One has sturdy bunk beds. It is all very thoughtfully put together to make life easy, including a separate pantry with laundry facilities.

So far so self-catering apartment, leaving you independence and flexibility, albeit a very well-endowed apartment. But then it keeps on getting better. Each day, a private chef arrives to prepare breakfast in your apartment. And it’s a sumptuous breakfast. All the usual fayre you would find on the breakfast buffet of your many starred hotel, including the bacon and eggs, but prepared and served personally, for you. A daily special that gives the chef a chance to show off with avocadoes or syrupy pancakes, depending on the day. Not only can you hit the slopes well-nourished, but there is no returning home later to a crumb scattered kitchen and the aroma of stale coffee. It has all been cleared away. There is daily housekeeping.

And then, another treat. No working out how you are going to get to the slopes. The Six Senses shuttle whisks you up to La Croisette and the lifts that transport you to the high places. Here, you are welcomed to the Six Senses own “ski-lodge”, a bit like a VIP members area where you will find your warmed boots, your cared for skis and a technician on hand for any further refinement you might require. At the end of the day, this is the destination of the final run. Change boots and linger at après in a lively bar or return to the bubbles, hot in the tub and nicely chilled in the champagne flute, in the privacy of your terrace. Perfection!
